Mr. Freeze is so close to reviving Nora but Batman can�t let it happen. Mr. Freeze has never been more vicious or more deadly. There�s nothing more dangerous than a desperate man with a cold gun and Gotham City is going to learn that firsthand!

For an issue that's effectively a prolonged chase scene, there's a lot of great character work here. Freeze is tragically grotesque in his actions, carelessly experimenting on innocent women in the hope of restoring his wife. Batman, meanwhile, proves that he has the right tool for any job, and adds a sense of welcome goofiness to what could have been a dour narrative. Factor in some wonderful dialogue and a pitch-perfect team if artists and this is another winner from Detective Comics.

On this page, Batman has burned his way into Freeze's lair in his new heat suit and immediately comments on Victor's new look. The Detective has followed all of the clues to this point. Freeze offers Batman his life if he just goes away. He is only concerned with Nora and her imminent revival.

This is the second to last page where Freeze is waking Nora up.

This new Mr. Freeze design more techno mad scientist strategist and less about trying to win with pure power. Good that they revived his character and Nora into the modern universe. Mahnke is getting lots of praise on his turn on Batman after many years of providing top notch detailed art for DC.
