DescriptionMarvel killed off a lot of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard characters in the late 2000's to early 2010's for whatever reason. In this page, Vulcan (the 3rd Summers Brother) shoots a hole in the original Smasher. Two more replacement Smashers are introduced and killed in War of Kings a few years later and then more recently, they've introduced a female Smasher from Earth.A few random questions: *Why is Smasher facing in the wrong direction away from Vulcan? *If he had similar powers to Ultra Boy, then shouldn't he have been using invulnerability when his back was turned? *Who messed with the original Dave Cockrum costume design and gave him that weird aviator cap look? Awesome! The Shi'ar are such an underrated force. I loved War of Kings. Its like the best blueprint for a perfect cosmic movie adaption Marvel wont make...or will do too lightly...like Civil War. Lol congrats!

As long as they don't kill Gladiator, I won't freak out. But the Shi'ar guard is so sweet, why kill them? Henry's style is a lot like Gibbons, with a tiny splash of McGuinness, imo. Shake, and serve over iceman. I dig how he uses the blast to bring home the composition, since you're only seeing one side of the action for the first few panels. Cool find. Congrats!
