DescriptionThis page comes from one of those unusual finds in Bechara's portfolios where you just do not know what to expect. I came across this page in one of the early NJ comic art shows, and it screamed at me to Buy, Buy, Buy! Price was another issue. Of course at that time, the Perez Avengers pages from the 1970s were already in high demand, and Bechara knew it. Negotiating was out the window. I plunked down my cash and walked away with a page from childhood. This is where Jim Shooter was trying to reconcile and resolve the leadership challenges between CA and IM while CA works out in the Avengers gym. He received triple-billing as the scripter/co-plotter/colorist. From the artists' perspectives, Perez and Marcos were hitting on all cylinders as the entire team was building up to a resolution from the Avengers 161-162 storyline where Ultron flew away in defeat. love this page- i liked the way this conflict was resolved. indeed, perez and marcos were hitting on all cylinders and shooter's contributions were top notch as well.

Great storytelling on this page. If Bechara waved this under my nose, I'd buy it, too!

The super packed storytelling by Perez and Marcos storytelling brought a wonderful modern 70's style to the Avengers where you go more complex stories requiring more complex layouts and refinement.
