Description

All Hope Abandon! Damn, did Steven knock it out of the park on this massive full page splash or what? This beast is absolutely cover quality and demands your full attention. Here we have a stunning depiction of Lucifer and Lady Demon from the short lived Chaos! Quarterly anthology series. This was a really fun short story featuring Lady Death's alter ego and every single page is a banger. Personally, I feel this period of Steven's career from '93-'97 was when he was doing his best work. I don't believe he was feeling the effects of his illness yet and was firing on all cylinders. His inking during this time is incredible as is the power of his line work.

If you've never read these books I'd definitely recommend checking out both issues #1 and 2 for some classic Steven Hughes art and they tie nicely to the Between Heaven & Hell and Odyssey mini-series.

Stephen Hughes' art popularized the bad girl genre with pieces like these that were too hot to appear anywhere else. This is just an astounding work of independent comics in the 90's and propelled Chaos into the limelight to show that the most popular characters in the comic collecting community were no longer just the domain of the big guys.

congrats on getting this piece off Stephen. it is so rare that Lady Demon pieces come to market and this is the perfect Lady Demon piece. i'm happy for you and in a bit of awe.
