Very nice representation of Marvel's muck monster. I like that he chose to do it in black and white with shades of gray, rather than the obvious green!
Great piece, love Kelly's work and he is a Man-Thing fan too!
Jeepers creepers! Take a look at those peepers!
Spooky and fantastic!
One of these days someone on Sesame Street will finally see him.
It is a lovely portrait showing the tender side of Man-Thing. Williams gives him a pliability and the flexibility that is firm but not too stiff. The branches, vines, and tendrils coarse throughout the Man-Thing who pulsates with power. The color work make it glisten in the dark, moist, and warm bayou.
Love how dark the piece is overall but how you can still make out a lot of the grey tones. Lots packed into a 9x12. And those red eyes really POP- super effective! And very nice of Kelly to throw in a the "apology" piece :) Congrats!
Very impressive piece!
LOVE this piece, man! The choice made with the pop of color in the yes is a winner but I'm also partial how well the moonlight is reflected on the form. Congrats!
Fantastic!
Gorgeous rendition of the king of the unibrows!!
Beautiful commission Kavi. The lighting effect and the red eyes are a beautiful contrast!
Look great! Glad this had a happy ending :)
All the "foliage" revealed by that soft moonlight reflection is so well done. And those eyes are perfect. What a cool commission. And that's some good customer service, too. Congrats!
The eyes! The white glint in the red eyes! Fantastic.
Kavi, I love the bonus/apology piece! Oh and that Man-Thing piece, very cool. Dark and foreboding, suh-weet!
Awesome piece, Kavi! I will never tire of seeing artists' interpretations of Man-Thing; the tri-root design of the face is so unbelievably strong (and the inevitable swampy setting so fraught with artistic possibility) that it still captivates after all this time. Absolutely lovely piece - congrats!
Collectors worst nightmare! Glad it all worked out in the end. He really did a killer second piece. Those eyes are scary!!!
Fantastic Man Thing illustration! Those glowing red eyes ... wow. And the special bonus/apology piece gives me a chuckle
Very very cool Man-Thing piece! Love the red eyes.
Had to swing past for another gander and post another appreciation of this beautiful piece. Still completely enamored with the composition and execution of this one; it just feels like a still from a 50's monster movie. Love this! Congrats again, Kavi!
A great pose, seen just from below, and somehow the curve of the body seems to suggest that he is gliding silently through the swamp. The lighting and the red eys add to the eerie feel. A nice heartwarming background story to the piece as well.
