Starting to really like Scalera's art to a dangerous extent...

The wash and white paint is quite good on this as it conveys the sweeping vibrancy and glory that is Doom.  His excellency strongly suggests that you not call him a spillover nor spill over your chalice of 2021 artwork onto 2022. 

Nice pose and perspective.  As you would expect, Doom looks down upon his subjects.  We're not allowed to look him in the eye, so we can only see him in muted tones.

No need to explain that this year's pieces are spillovers, much less from what year. Who cares? All that matters is that anything you post is new to your CAF gallery, regardless when it was purchased, and nobody actually knows but you. Shit, many of my posts are spillovers from 5 to 6 years ago!

Absolutely killer commission! Mateo Scalera paints Doctor Doom sitting on his stone throne atop what appears to be a mountain of skulls. Fabulous composition, great inks and beautiful ink wash. That's a one and done.
