Epic anniversary issue, from my childhood, with Doom defeated and the FF wrapping things up. A powerful story about ego, the fragility of it and the futility of endlessly focusing on it. Awesome Pollard, Sinnott and Wolfman goodness.

The castle is an amazing setting as it takes the FF to a place locked in time by traditions and customs. For a last page, this one certainly wraps things up. But as the statue crumbles and fades with time, so too will this time of Doom being down and out. He'll be back because he's Doom!

Great concluding page, Victor defeated in multiple ways. Makes me think of Secret Wars, some 6 years later.
