Description

An interesting piece done in mixed media by the artist Carlos Meglia. It appears to me to be done with a mixture of oils, collage, markers and probably some watercolor. Used a bunch of mediums to get the look he wanted. One of my side collections is Don Quixote stuff so when I saw this I knew it would fit perfectly in my collection.

So off I go on my quests to slay the Dragons, giants and save my princess. AKA keep my wife happy but still partake in my hobbies, passions and collections....may they balance...

Also the page was too big for my scanner so some, but not much, is cropped.

It looks like it could have been done during the Disney dark era with so much attention paid to the mood and style to bring a sense realism with the natual forest lighting.

Yeah, reminds me of Black Cauldron or perhaps a Ralph Bakshi animation. If Black Cauldron and Wizard had a baby....
