Description

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to get Mark Farmer to ink my Alan Davis Batman Unmasked Convention Sketch. Farmer is a brilliant inker and frequent collaborator of Alan's and if anyone was going to ink it I knew it had to be him. The pencil sketch by Alan Davis was acquired at Akron Comic Con on November 5th 2016. Alan is a legendary artist who was an absolute pleasure to meet. I did have Mark ink a blueline copy and asked if he could add some background I requested the Batcave and specifically the Jason Todd Robin Costume Trophy Case. Mark did an exceptional job on this piece and I could not be happier with it. Thank you to Larry Tun for arranging this opportunity.

Thats a brilliant add to the penciled sketch. Mark did a great job. I will do the same with a Witchblade commission. I was able to jump a John Romitas sketch commission and JRJR will draw a fullbody Witchblade and Scott Hanna will do a complete background.

Phenominal work. The added background elements are just like the inks on Batman, they serve to enhance the feel that Davis put into the drawing.
