DescriptionA two-part crossover comic book featuring one of my favorite Valiant characters, X-O Manowar and now Marvel Cinematic Universe Supah-Star Iron Man!These comic books were tie-ins to the Acclaim Video Game (which I still have a copy of for Playstation somewhere). The art itself is featured on the interior credits pages of both X-O/Iron Man and Iron Man/X-O chapters. The 'back cover' features the art in an advertisement that asks "Does The Suit Make The Man?" I remember this (and let's be honest most) crossover very fondly and these are great full-figure images of both X-O and Iron Man by Andy Smith. Social/Sharing |

Outstanding image of my favorite original Valiant character alongside Marvel's armored Avenger. I think I first picked up this crossover in 2001, and I remember it being much better than I expected. Big congrats on a very cool pickup!

I watch too many Japanese Language shows. I read the bottom comment as "Sugoi!" at first.

Nice mirrored armor shot! I thought Bart Sears when I saw it, which is a good thing! Inks must particularly cool in person, as there are lots of long curved lines in the piece. Congrats, Derek!

Thanks K! Andy Smith apprenticed under Bart, so their styles are extremely similar.

Video games were definitely a strength of the Valiant line of comics characters and they actually had quality control to the games. This crossover face off has great artistic visual symmetry with their techno knight looks.

this is super cool man. congrats! it also makes me realize we need a "Back Cover" category for art type on CAF. Other doesn't do it enough specification/justice...but also putting it under Cover would be weird...anyway, random thought lol.
