DescriptionThe demand is now so strong for Jack Kirby "4th World" pages that it is becoming very difficult to locate complete stories. The offered 4 page back-up story from Mister Miracle #5 dates from very early in the development of Kirby's New Gods saga and it contains heaps of exposition about Apokolips, New Genesis, and the host of immortals "The King" was creating. Featuring a young Scott Free (Mister Miracle), Granny Goodness, and Metron, this is the first installment of a 3 part story giving background on tht title character. The tyrant Darkseid's influence is very present in these pages, as is the sad fate of the denizens of his realm. Scott Free appears in nearly everty panel including a very large central figure on the title splash page.Many of these early 1970s stories have already been broken up and reassembling them once the individual pages find their way to private collections is nearly impossible. Each of these pages has an image area of approximately 10" x 15". The title splash boldly features Kirby's signature at the lower left. Social/Sharing |

I remember when I bought this story. I wasn't sure I should pay for pages that I didn't want; happily, I did.
