Description

My favorite X-Men painting by Alex Ross. I wanted this back in SDCC 2014 but Stan Lee bought it before I got to it.� Sideshow commissioned Alex Ross to do a limited edition Fine Art painting of the X-Men. The board measures 20x38in. My favorite part is the composition. It is so imposing you feel they are life size and have to ask for permission to walk around them.

Pays homage to the Cockrum costume and color designs and composition! Ross takes it to a new level with his photorealistic take, the colors are incredibly reconsidered and applied with his own vision.

I hear you, but that's about as well-placed a signature as I've seen from Mr. Lee, and it looks good to me, FWIW!

Yeah -- definitely better than a lot of Stan's signatures, but only Alex Ross should have been signing anywhere near the art area in my opinion! Still an amazing piece though!

How the hell did I miss this??? What a spectacle of mutant eXcellence! Congrats on an exemplary slice of Ross' mastery of our favorite mutants. 20 X 30? Isnt big art just the best? Especially when its the alumni of the one and only mutant academy!

Talk about a stare down. Don't know who they're all looking at, but he's probably cowering in a little ball. Probably one of the finest X-group shots I've ever seen by any artist. Can't even imagine how good it must look in person.
