I'm not so familiar with Yvel but I do know of Dexter's great run on Batman Superman. Thought this was a great 2 page spread of one of Superman's sci-fi powers. Such a great superpower that Kirby & Lee swiped it and made it the only superpower of a member of the X-Men in their slightly veiled effort. Background info from this blog

This spread depicts Superman tearing apart a LexCorp facility somewhere under Central Asia. This is during the time period where Lex Luthor was president.

Nice powerful pose in this 2 page spread. The title credits and indicia are barely hanging on there, but that's ok. If they fall off I'll get a chance to see more art.

I never meant to fly from solitude

Luthor's hidden from his secret base

And that would wipe the smile right from my face

Double pager with the Superman glance

He still wore underwear over his pants

Guichet and Vines' own Man of Steel run

And we would follow him into the sun

It was the heat of the moment

Telling me what my heart meant

The heat of the moment showed in his eyes
