Description
This was the page I was gunning for when I purchased the two-fer that included the Gammill page in my collection. I always had a soft spot for the story it comes from, being one of my favorite Maxima stories. I was quite amused when parts of this imaginary tale were incorporated into the main continuity.

This was actually the first comic page I ever purchased with corrections on vellum. It’s a rather massive piece, for a bit of background correction that’s about the size of my thumbnail. It’s one of only two pieces in my collection that has a correction, which adds to its novelty to me.

Great space fantasy page with Maxima as a princess to our spacefaring Superman as the visitor from another world.  Drawn to be a romantic page with her personally attending to heal Superman.

Fun page. I already loved Hitch's art back then.

This issue was my introduction to the talented Bryan Hitch and I was truly amazed by his capabilities in depicting characters and environments ! Thank you for sharing this beauty !

I love how the expression on Maxima's face in the third panel doesn't really match the words coming out of her mouth. That and the rest of the characterization reminds me of David Letterman's joke advice to Mike Tyson: "Excercise better care when dating a mother-daughter team!"
