Marvel Preview 9 Inside Cover

Yeah, Castrillo had what amounted to a cup of coffee (to use a baseball expression) in the American comics industry and I wonder why, because if this piece is a fair one to judge by, he was as good as most of the other Filipinos who invaded the business during the 70's. It's possible he may have been a studio mate of Alcala's, which might explain the info on it. Great Science Fiction piece either way!

Great sci-fi fantasy piece that would translate well to Marvel and DC cosmic tales.  The lean figures and the dynamic poses show off Castrillo's control of perspective and scene setting.  Definitely a world class high quality illustration cover.

Fly me to the moon, and we'll play amongst the stars. There is a 50s sci-fi whimsy to this piece that I like. Madz captured nice emotion here, too, and what a great scene. His style reminds me a little of both Joe Kubert and Morrow. Nice find. Congrats!

Appreciate you introducing me to Madz Castrillo's art rececntly Miki. A Filipino talent to which I was unaware. Your example here is a true beauty. My man Alfredo Alcala finished it out perfectly.
