Description

Awesome WWI plane battle page published by Marvel in 1970 from the flashback story "He Fought the Red Baron" in which Jack Fury (Nick's father) fought Baron Manfred von Richthofen. Severin did the just the inks on this page, and they are phenomenal.

It wasn't a popular time for war comics just as Ayers and Severin reach some great artistic peaks. Switching to older wars tales and spy stories of Fury provided amazing moments of creativity like this.
