Master is right.  That middle panel is a gem, but the entire page is masterful.

Holy mackerel! This page is even more detail oriented than the other one! And yet, despite athe abundance of detail, everything is perfectly clear. Just wonderful! If you look at only the bottom tier alone, it could easily be mistaken for a Terry and the Pirates daily. Well done, Chris!

Ruben - your comment about that bottom tier is spot-on; in fact, the last panel is one of my favortie components of the page. It's impact is the direct result of the detail Toth was putting into every panel before it.

The inks!!  Great!!

Toth's clarity - despite the busy nature of the panels - is mind-blowing.  And as for that last panel, no one was better than Toth at outlining characters and focusing the eye with blacks.

Very nice middle panel where the pursuers are stopped by Toth's signature wall of sounds.  The entire page places you in time and place with precision and detail like a textbook history lesson.

It's an exceptional page. I love the plethora of details, the strong Milton Caniff influence, and yes, how he uses those silhouettes in the final panel as a kind of smaller payoff to the big action that came before it. Cheers!
