My collector tastes lean to printed pages typically but in doing a purchase with Vicente from his website (check for his CAF banner) he was kind enough to throw in a personal sketch of a character I wanted. Lately I've been straying from my DC roots to my favorite Marvel character Ben Grimm. From CAF interviews I know it's good to be sure that the artist is happy with your choice and not to limit them so I told him about my recently collecting Thing artwork but explained I really like him in Joe Sinnott's style but if he wasn't comfortable with that a Wonder Woman sketch would be great too.

Vicente told me he loved the Joe Sinnott Thing too and did this one for me. I think he knocked it out of the ballpark! Absolutely a Sinnott feel but with Vicente's interpretation.

And I think I finally understand a bit about how other collectors in CAF interviews talk about how a positive experience with an artist producing something you asked for just for you has deep meaning. So thanks to Vicente both for his generosity with the gift of this artwork and for helping me to experience that aspect of the hobby.
