Supergirl Prelim 03

Good evening, Champions. Hope everyone was able to shake off the loss of that hour of sleep due to Daylight Savings. Kind of missing it, personally. lol. Anyway, here is the latest update on the Supergirl cosplay portrait. It took some finessing but I finally managed to figure out how to render the subject's face. The photo I'm using for reference is in the direction of the light. Since she's in the sky as Supergirl, the sources of light can be allowed, but the flesh tone needs some shade given the sun is behind her. That being said, I settled on the following combination of Copics: E000 (highlight), E00 (base), E01, E02, E13, E31, E33, and W1 (shadows). The W1 (warm gray) was used for the eyeshadow. My aunt pointed out some points that needed some improvements, so I did my best to make those adjustments. I made the waist a little thicker and the skirt a little less stiff. Admittedly I'm not done yet, but it's progress. I've also taken some cues from Gary Frank's rendering of fabrics blowing in the wind to render the inside of Kara's cape with some minder feathering and hatching. Now that the face is rendered, save for the lips and the eyes, the sketch is coming alive for me and I hope for my client as well.
