Description

Client Joe Goulart brought me a blank variant sketch cover of Batgirl #38 ("The New 52") with pencils of various period versions of the character from the Golden-age Bette Kane "Bat-Girl" to Yvonne Craig who played Barbara Gordon Batgirl on tv in BATMAN during the Silver-age to the modern-age post-paraplegic Barbara Gordon Batgirl. Joe asked me to scan the cover pencils in high-resolution, blow it up to fit on 11"X17" 2-ply board in blueline and ink it that way. It was a fun experience trying to capture the various pencil tonal textures used but with ink. I finished this on May 4, 2020.
