Description

Superman fights an icy cyclone that has plunged a small area of Metropolis into subzero temperatures, as Lois watches in horror from the newsroom, and Jimmy and Heather experience the cold first-hand while recording a live story nearby. Note the homage to Action Comics in the font on the Action News van. The Metropolis cityscape on page 11 has some futuristic spires and dirigibles suggesting an alternate reality.

The dialogue claims that the temperature going from 80 degrees to negative 30 is "dropping the temperature fifty degrees in just seconds," but it's really a 110 degree drop. Brrrr! As often is the case, tight pencils allow for more nuance in the art than the inked version does.

Scott's pencils get so much of the tonal work in between her super tight and sharp pencil lines!

Such tight pencils - this is like a fine art illustration. Great add to your collection!
