Description
Part 4, the conclusion of the "...In Chains!" arc and a Tie-In to the "Over The Edge" Punisher storyline!

Dan Ketch/Ghost Rider had been captured and was going to be dissected at the top secret government research facility known as the Black Hole.

The man in charge of the Black Hole is known only to most by the nickname, "The Spook."

He not only wanted Dan Ketch's skin flayed off, but also managed to undo the crooked punishment inflicted on Ghost Rider's foe Ebenezer Laughton aka Scarecrow.

Black Widow (leading the Avengers at the time) and Nick Fury both appeared on the scene to stop the prison break at the Black Hole, but The Spook had left Scarecrow behind as his "guard dog", while he activates his bomb countdown.

Panel One is a nice shot of Ghost Rider Bitch-Backhanding Scarecrow with his FIST!

The subsequent panels reveal that Black Widow and Nick Fury are unable to terminate the countdown.

Fury orders Widow to use the Escape Pods to take Doctor Keene and the android known as Mr. Wright out of harms way, but the Scarecrow has other plans.

I was a big fan of this Volume of Ghost Rider when it was initially released and followed the book (and many of Ghost Rider's frequent guest appearances) for almost over 2 years.

However, by that point, over-saturation and over-exposure with more titles (Spirits of Vengeance) and multi-part crossovers like Rise of the Midnight Sons (that had titles I had zero interest in like Darkhold), ultimately drove me away from the book.

But by the time I was going to college in Los Angeles, and learning the lay of the (comic shop) land, I re-discovered the title while in a long-defunct comic shop heading into Santa Monica on Lincoln Blvd.

I really loved Texiera on Ghost Rider and wasn't really thrilled after he left the title. But there was something about Salvador Larocca's art those many years later that drew me back into reading the title. So when the opportunity arose to grab a page from the run, I didn't want to pass it up!

(Thanks to my partner in crime, The Amazing,Spectacular, (Web of even!) Eranga!)

A mighty Ghost Rider right cross that twists and corskscrews the bad guy out Aliens style.  Larroca and Melia gets this funky cold mix of characters in an extravaganza of a page.
