Description
Before Darick Robertson became known for his work on Transmetropolitan and The Boys, he was the replacement for Mark Bagley on New Warriors. On this sad, but dramatic page, Rage goes nuts after finding out that his grandmother has been killed.

This is a somewhat rare sideways splash page. I picked this up in 2015.

Rage was a great addition to the New Warriors cast, and Robertson did a fantastic job here demonstrating the character's power.  They shouldn't have killed his grandmother.

Not familiar with the story personally, but to take out a dude's granny?!  That's a cold, cold move!  Revenge is on the menu.

Wow, this is so cool. I'm not sure I've ever seen an entire double page splash be used to show a closeup shot like this. In fact, before I clicked on the thumbnail, I thought you had uploaded a scan of a single panel. Pretty neat!

Thanks Ruben.  Technically it's a sideways single-page splash.  I think you had to turn the comic sideways when reading it.  Hey - it was the 90's!

Oh, right! Just noticed that! Yes, it was indeed the 90's! 🤪

I'd feel the same if they harmed my granny!  The rage and the splash is well deserved!  Robertson makes us feel his emotion even without facial expression through the powerful body language in perspective from front to back.

Great page from one of my favorite New Warriors issues. Seeing Rage go on this path of destruction was a very memorable moment.
