Nice page, congratulations
Thanks so much Claudio!
Fantastic page that does harken back to the Golden Age days of Steve Rogers/ Captain America.
John Sr. is the greatest.
Golden times those... Thanks my friend
Romita gives us a Kirby Street Code-esque world in this piece where the city of NY is given a lot of the personality like its own character. From the facades to the brick walled alleyways that give us a sense of the tough environment where Rogers sets his heart into making a true difference.
Your comms are always full of Marvel wisdom!
Love the ink work done on this page, fantastic!
We love the same the Romita penciler and the Romita inker!
Times sure have changed. A beat cop? Police call box? Oh well, one thing is constant, Captain America. Great page, congrats.
70's!!! Thanks my friend! I take the advantatge of congratulate you for your amazing collection! A Simon and Kirby antology!!!
This is a great looking page but its illogical. No sign of his gun in panel one. I know you are going to say its hidden under the tunic. Still. Then he starts taking off his cop uniform and then puts it back on??? WTF? Does he want a showdown in cop gear? And if he did go into Cap Uniform mode, he would be leaving a gun hidden with the cop uniform? Anyone could find it.
Hi Peter!!! Under my opinion the page is completely logical. In the initial pages of the issue Comisaioner ask Cap to investigate the misteryous dissaperings of some NYPD members. Comissioner ask Cap to investigate under the appearance of a policeman... in this page Cap says that he underwear the custome just in case it was nevessary... anyway nice to talk to you!!! And thanks!!!
This raises more questions. Why does he think bad things only happen when it gets dark? Why is he not already wearing his Cap costume? Is it because the shield would give him a humped back look in daylight?
Hahahaha! Ok ok!! Thanks so much my friemd!
Romita is a generous artist. In any page he gave it all. His Cap run is a treasure. Big congrats.
Romita is one of the greatest!!! Thanks my friend!
I was about to mention that I don't know if I've seen a "hero change" like that from Cap. Very cool moment. I think all of these types of story pages are special, where the character shines, and you see something "real" That's where every great comic story lives, imo. Very cool page. Congrats!
Fully agree Jason. Thanks so much!
Cap as a Beat Cop, love it! Outstanding! Congrats!
Thanks so much Dan!
What a great page!
