Description
Well this gag is pretty... basic. But I guess that's part of the undeniable homey charm of "Reg'lar Fellers," a long-running (1917-1949!) strip that I'd never heard of before I started looking at original comic art. I remember meeting an Italian comic art dealer, probably born around 1940, telling me how popular this strip was in Italy when he was a kid. Byrnes' easy still fills the panels nicely, and the characters have a lot of life and personality.

They had puns and they had to use them.

The bartender asks "What can I get you?"
"Pop", goes the weasel.
