Description
Very cool surreal cover art by Emsh illustrating "Redemption" by Robert F Young (Amazing Stories, July 1963).

An astral Lincoln picks up the broken pieces of himself from the rubble of the destroyed Lincoln Memorial as a result of an obvious nuclear holocaust. It appears the pieces he finds are slowly making him "whole" again.

This is a classic example of a cover that demands I read this story!

I love that Honest Abe was included as the main character in a Science Fiction story! Fun cover by Emsh, too.

Me too!  And it reminded me of Abe's appearance on Star Trek (The Savage Curtain).

Sci-Fi Lincoln must have happened after his career as a wrestler and vampire hunter. His work is never done and we salute him every time we take out a $5 bill.
