Buckler/Romita--Ghost Rider #18 Cover (1976)

I knew this was coming!  Great cover that I have been eyeing ever since I saw in SDCC 2018.  Wish I had a time machine... but then again, who doesn't?!?

Another superb and perfectly fitted add to your (frankly) supernatural collection, sir!  Keep on practicing that black magic and delighting us all with your posts.  Yowza, this is great...!  LOVE the early Champions appearances, plus (Romita!  Hero box worthy!) Spidey and The Thing?!?  Few posts elicit such feelings of "we're not worthy!" as Bill J posts!  Superb piece!

Skulls in illustration are always cool, so yeah, a flaming skull probably raises the cool factor exponentially. This was always one of my favourite of the early Ghost Rider covers and since the reasons are obvious, I won't bother to mentione them here. Suffice it to say that you've clearly acquired yourself one of the top Ghost Rider covers of the era. Kudos, Bill!

That sure is an amazing cover. I remember seeing that and thinking, wow that is an awesome cover. Now here it is. Congrats!!!

Bronze covers are just the best.  I mean, they sacrifice a full third of the image area for the logo, but even with just two thirds of the page to work with, these legendary artists could still pack so much into that limited space.  Buckler was a Bronze Age stud.  If I close my eyes, I can probably run an endless slide show of all his classic covers from this period.  Leave it to you to land this amazing example.  Always had a soft spot for oddball teams like The Champions (that's how I became a Defenders fan).  To see most of that ill-fated team here, along with Thing and Spidey, is just such a blast.  This really should be in a museum.  Oh wait, it is.  The Bill J Comic Art Museum.  Congrats buddy!

Record breaking claim!  Ghost Rider bursting onto the scene over these heroes shows that the time was right for the supernatural Marvel characters to take their rightful place amongst the established pantheon of titles.

A new CAF addition from Bill J in my watched gallery list is always a treat. That's not a gerenral statement, but a truism that always fits. You have a splendid eye, and great taste and this is another example - just a great GR cover. Look at those character, the inks are superb. Oh man, this is unreal.  Perfecto vintage example!  Awesome seeing these other heroes surrounding the featured GR - was probably a pretty new thing at the time!  And the black background is a good choice to highlight the heroes and accentuate that oh so lovely letterering :)  Congrats, man!
