Description

Cover published 1987.
'The Search for Atmos'
Final cover was penciled by Pat Broderick and inked by John Beatty.
Tales of the Legion at that time was a reprint series reprinting the Baxter series as DC was experimenting with a hard cover/soft cover approach. DC did however commission new covers for the issues.
This issue reprinted Legion of Super-Heroes #28 published the previous year.

You spend all your time waiting
For that second print
That soft cover would make it okay

There's always some Legion
Broderick's good pin up
And his art at the end I would pay

I need prelim action
Oh, beautiful art piece
Powerful art that remains

No Inks by Beatty
Oh, flies weightless
And maybe I'll find art pieces tonight

In the search of the Atmos
Fly away from here
From this art, bold in costume
And the endless space that you feel

I see Dawnstar's whole plumage
And your Legion chemistry
You're in the search of the Atmos
May you find some comfort here
