DescriptionThe Return of Psylocke!The cover says it all, seeing her beautiful face grace a cover after being gone for quite some time gave me chills and X-citement that she had returned. This page features her official return back to some sort of life. The X-Men see it for themselves and really enjoy the looks of surprise as they reveal Psylocke being alive and the bit of humor for her reading a fashion magazine (nice throwback to her old body and modeling days). It’s a great page to go with the recap page that I also have showing her death. The Davis Claremont combo is awesome to see in this reunion as they both have a long history in her backstory. Claremont being co-creator of her from her days in the UK Magazine Captain Britain #8 (Betsy Braddock, along with Herb Trimpe) and Davis bringing her to US comics with Claremont in New Mutants Annual #2 and giving the moniker Psylocke. Then both bringing her officially into the Uncanny X-Men team in Uncanny X-Men #213. It’s wonderful to see creative teams reunited especially for a character they really brought to life and gave an Uncanny origin to. This page is beautifully drawn and inked (Farmer) to give these characters substance, emotion and storyline. I especially like the reaction panel to her return, a variety of responses fitting for each character. Then the final panel of the calm before the upcoming psychic storm quickly approaching. And best of all, Psylocke finally returned! Social/Sharing |

The usual beautiful work that's synonymous with Alan Davis' name. Great page overall, but that bottom panel is particularly nice.

Great page overall but that last shot of Psylocke is definitely the featured one. GORGEOUS face as rendered by Davis/Farmer. Congrats, James!
