Description

Not new to my collection, but reposting some older acquisitions. I believe Romita did this in 1975 as a illustration for what I think was Marvel's first solo comic convention; years ago I found an image of a bag with this image printed on it that was created for the event (hard to see in the pic, but the character's faces were changed to look more serious). I've always loved Romita's classic promotional Marvel group shots--and love that this one showcases an eclectic array of characters like Conan, Luke Cage, and Howard the Duck alongside such mainstays as Spidey, Captain America, and the Hulk.

The Big Three Avengers, half the FF, the most famous barbarian in comics, with Hulk and Spidey. That would be more than enough for any Marvel fan. But Howard just puts this baby right over the top! Amazing piece from a true comics legend. And welcome back buddy!

Fabulous pin-up featuring the top Marvel heroes of the '70s. Fun to see Luke Cage, Conan and Howard the Duck in this grouping. Funny how the top characters change with the decades!
