David Colman Trademark

This piece epitomizes one of my collecting strategies, get stuff from young, up-and-coming artists who are likely to hit it big. David Colman certainly qualifies and this lady is, in effect, his trademark. She has been featured on such diverse items as T-shirts and shot glasses. I'm surprised he let it go. It's kind of like getting the original drawing of the Playboy Bunny. Notice that the lady's necklace is off to the side, so he could photoshop it in without possibly messing up the main piece.
