DescriptionIf you love Harley Quinn you probably know that she burst on the scene in the brilliant Batman the Animated Series in an episode called Joker's Favor. I came across the art work of Thomas Pitilli through some excellent drawings he posted on CAF.I reached out to him with an idea I had about imagining the first time that the Joker and Harley met. My wish was for Thomas to use the inspiration of that series but to create a drawing however he saw fit. I believe in artists. I wanted to be surprised.I wanted the style to draw on Batman the Animated Series but not be a full carbon copy swipe that looked exactly like Bruce Timm. So I believed Thomas could do that based on the awesome work of his that I had seen. I did suggest a few "bread crumbs" or "Easter eggs" be included to commemorate Joker's Favor. Other then that I left the rest of it up to Thomas to design the art as he saw fit. I'm just blown away with the final drawing. Thomas used a combo of the Pentel Pocket brush Pen and the Kuratake brush pen, on this 9x12 Bristol board. Also I want to tell you to please check out Thomas Pitilli's CAF site. He really does smashing good work and he packed the art safely and bullet proof which I can't thank him enough for. A very professional experience. Social/Sharing |

That playing card framing device does a really nice job of rounding out the look of the piece. Harley is also making sure Mr. J looks his animated best for his appearance coming out of the cake for the Commissioner Gordon celebration that night. A moment of Batman fandom can all remember fondly.

Thank you Marcus always enjoy your comments. Spot on I love the way the playing card border is worked in as a frame.

Fabulous Harley Quinn cover! Thomas Pitilli did a masterful job with the layout and capturing the characters' personalities! Love the use of the playing card background to pull it all together!

Harley and Joker allow for some secret emotions typically barred from the human condition. A different kind of love, utterly twisted and yet no less powerful vs. the standard...
