Description

"Hook" (Steven Spielberg, 1991) concept by Mick McGinty. Pretty spectacular in person (and huge!). I guess the art directors at Seiniger liked this idea, because it's not the first artwork I've seen that iterates on this composition. Christian Struzan drew a similar one (featuring the captain's ship instead of the hook). Dave Christensen also did some concept work that featured the hook and the moons. I'm not a huge fan of the film, but they did some great stuff with it's marketing. And it's one of those special films that had one poster done by Alvin and one by Struzan!
