Ellis and Cassaday did an out of this world job on planetary with economy of character. Ellis’s use of archetypes and Cassaday’s slick designs, allowed characters to have whole arcs in a single issue or give a few pages and tell you all you needed to know.

Bret Leather, “The Spider” was one such character that added to the tapestry of this great series. This page is part of a memorable sequence as he takes on the Chicago mob.
