There really is an International Cheetah Day!!  I had to look it up after your comment on K's post and this beautiful CAF post.  Dec 4th, everyone! Me, I love big cats, small cats, spotted cats, striped cats, cats in the hats, cats catching rats, cats on doormats, congrats on this cat! .... this is starting to sound Seussian.

The only kind of cat I'm not allergic to are the ones on paper, so I'm loving this one.  Great job on the spotting, and really nice work on the shading insider her ears.  You are truly skilled my friend.  Hopefully someday, when you no longer have to work, you'll have more time to enjoy this special talent.

Real nice , Rick!  We have a place called The Cheetah Lounge down here in South Florida.  I think I will stop by tonight and see if they are celebrating International Cheetah day.  Great piece, keep 'em coming!

Although I don't recall anyone ever referring to him as "cheetah", he definitely was fast and the greatest of all time (even according to him!), so I appreciate you showing us another Rickey Henderson piece illustrated during your younger days, Rick. So sleek and muscular, he almost looks like an actual cheetah!

This is fantastic, Rick.  Really beautiful coloring and spotting here. I'm with Eric; should you ever carve out time to pick up your pencil again, I'd love to see some of your modern work.  Thank you for sharing this cat blast from the past!  Happy Cheetah Day!
