Fantastic DPS! Ian Churchill put his stamp on this series back in the nineties. Killer aquisition.
yes is good
Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
Cable mother daddy things
They say that time's supposed to heal ya, but arm ain’t done much healing
Hello, can you hear me?
I'm Devasurendra dreaming about Ian’s X-Men team
When inks were Hanna and clean
I've forgotten how it felt before the Liefeld drew our feet
There's such a difference between us
And a million styles
Artwork that will satisfy
I must've called from future times
To tell you I'm angry for everything X-Men’ve done
But when I call, Eranga’s never at home
Wow, I thought for sure Simon K would go after this and get it. Congrats on nailing it, Eranga!
Wow! As fine an X double-pager as they come. As popular as Churchill was for a while, I still think he's somewhat under rated among X artists, and artists in general. But I've always enjoyed his artwork. What's so cool about this piece is that, whereas the relfections of Cable were digitized in the published spread, you get all the actual line art in the original. Congrats on this stellar example.
An amazing example of what made Chruchill so great! Love this one!!
ooooo, that's fun!
Wowie wow wow WOW!!!!
Congrats on the pick up. I was bidding on this beauty on Heritage too.
ARGH! Sorry man...hate when that happens. If it helps, this took me all the way to my limit.
Such a fantastic DPS you're right the perfect gathering of characters here
CHUCK!!!!
Really nice DPS with everyone in it! The previous Churchill pieces have been culminating up to this beauty. Congrats Eranga!
Congrats my friend! Killer DPS. So cool to see how they did the hollogram figures from the OA to the colors.
Epic yum...!!
What a great page. Scott kicks with his ink Ian Churchills great pencils.
Super impressive and I love the tilted angle.
(I see you are entertaining offers with a 3500$ benefit? Less than a month after buying it? You are such a flipper !!! ^^ ;)
You got me! I had to scroll back up in a panic and see if I listed this for sale accidentally!!
I'm a big fan of Churchill and feel he's a bit underappreciated for the quality of work he put out into the world. This is an awesome DPS, congrats man!
Awesome DPS from this run!!!!
Not just seminal, but SEMINAL! This is gorgeous. And it speaks to everything that was magical and special of the 90's art. Just looking at this image brings me back to such a great place. What a fantastic addition to your already fantastic collection. Congrats, E!!!
Okay, now you're just showing off! ;)
Fantastic DPS with Cable and the whole gang, great addition Eranga!
And who said in school that math doesn't pay.
Jawdroppingly cool DPS! Ian Churchill's work here is nothing short of superb! I love all the characters that Ian includes here. His portraits of each of the X-Men are right on! And Scott Hanna's inks really bring the characters to life! Fabulous pick-up!
Churchill brought an Image feel to the book but with a high quality that I think was absent from most Image books by this point. This is an amazing DPS!
I like that you used "satiates" as opposed to "satisfies" - there's something more visceral about the former :) Which I think applies here!
Big congrats, man! So many X characters featured highlighted by your main man, the Son of Askani! And in that nicely detailed '90s house style. I'm sure you've pored over lots!
Great DPS featuring so many great characters, nice find!
