I actually only heard of this character sometime around 2007 when I was selling some X-Factor art from the Peter David era, so I had assumed she was created during that run. Also, having only see the original art, she always appeared to be caucasian. Here she's brown skinned, so is she African American? I know I can always count on your scholarship, Michael! Either way, a typical beauty from the Land/Leisten team. Kudos!

M was born in Bosnia to a mother from Algeria and a father from Monaco. She's never been portrayed as caucasian.  Peter David made excellent use of the character in X-Factor, although he seemed to age her up a bit.

Almost a stand-alone page, just perfect in depicting this character. I love that last panel! 

If I had such a kicka** chair, a hot cup of tea and beautiful women dropping in unexpectedly, I wouldn't go out either.

Love seeing the spots of tonal work here - subtle and not overpowering the page. TOTALLY in agreement with you about the Gen X kids. Honestly I think a book collecting the OG team would sell really well on nostalgia alone. Get Bachalo to draw the book and print money.

Some great Monet panels, great character and nice looking page.  She's a fun character that I hope gets utilized more, she hasn't had a good fit for a while, as I didn't care for X-CORP.  

I agree re: X-Corp.  I thought it was an interesting concept that could have been executed better.  I also didn't care for its use of Madrox as it seemed to discard years of character development that Peter David brought to the table.

A gorgeous page (love the way she breaks panel while in flight) --- and that final image shows just what a genius Greg Land is when it comes to drawing female characters.

Really fantastic page with a lovely smorgasbord of a bit of everything: cool architectural touches (really love the statuary in panel 3), a fantastic layout (with a "breakout" panel that beautifully ties the horizontal upper tier with the vertical bottom tier) and awesome character delineation, both from afar and (especially) up close.  Great Land example (even though Mis flying through most of it... ;) ).  Congrats, Michael!
