Awesome mid 70's Kubert War cover! It's amazing how many ways Joe Kubert can design a cover that grabs attention and fills you with anguish to pick up the issue.
I think most of it has to do with where Kubert places the reader's POV. We are always being surrounded, or being discovered, or in some difficult to get out of jam.
