Karate Kid vs. Wolverine by Karl Kerschl and Simon Gough

I've been a fan of Karl Kerschl's work ever since I first saw it in New Warriors back in the 90's. His work has evolved a lot since then, and he makes some of the best comics around nowadays. I highly recommend everyone check out Isola, The Abominable Charles Christopher, Death Transit Tanager, and anything else Karl produces. Anywho, I got on Karl's commission list last year and a few months later, received this gorgeous commission of Wolverine and Karate Kid going at it! I love the Jim Lee homage, the dragon background, and the lovely tone work. A little later, Simon Gough put some gorgeous digital colors on this piece, and I am a big fan of the purples in the background. Big thanks to both Karl and Simon for the outstanding efforts they put into this commission!

I've said it before and I'll say it again,�Logan knows many fighting styles, but he relies on his unbreakable bones and healing factor too much. He lets himself take punishment, which would be a major mistake when fighting Val Armorr. Val would strike Logan�s pressure points and basically make a fool out of Logan. And that�s a shame, because Logan should be better.

Yes, the Lee homage! Archangel vs Wolvie. Very cool, and a sweet part of art in its own right. The dragon background is a big bonus! Congrats!

Dude, when I think Jim Lee it is absolutely the X-Tinction Agenda issues that pop into my head first. Not even close.
