Crossword puzzle artwork (1960s) - 1

Original artwork for a children's crossword published in the UK in the 1960s. It is ink on thick board measuring approx 7.5 x 5.5 inches. Nicely surreal collection of images - including eye, hand, head looking the other way and a spider's web. It reminds me a little of a book from the 1990s called 'Surrealist Games'.

The writing on the back of the board reveals it was published several times. These crosswords appeared as part of a syndicated feature called Peter Pippin's Puzzle Corner in various newspapers in the UK. This piece also appeared in a book called 'Peter Pippin's First Book of Puzzles' published by Target Books in 1972.

I have provisionally given the artist as T.McQueen, but he may have just been the editor of the book.
