Future audiences won't understand why Tarzan needs to use that lever to make an elevator work, but that's what happens when you bring Tarzan out of the jungle and into the city!  Sal gets to shine with Villamonte bringing out so much emotion and passion in the artwork.  Just look at Jane in the center panel, the bad guys' body language and facial expressions to see how it contrasts with her vulnerability.
