Description... as portrayed by Charles Bronson in Sergio Leone's western classic, Once Upon a Time in the West. Harmonica was given his name by Cheyenne ( Jason Robards ). Along with Jill ( Claudia Cardinale ), they go up against Frank ( Henry Fonda ) in the western expansion of the US. Kim has had the drawing for a while. I finally pulled the trigger ( pardon the pun ) and bought it. The additional image is from the scene after Frank has fallen after their duel and gasps "Who... who are you ??" Social/Sharing |

This is just FANTASTIC! An iconic image from an inconic film. Not just one of the best "spaghetti westerns", but one of the best westerns EVER! A great cast, great characters, great story, brilliant Direction by Leone, and a sublime musical score by the legendary Ennio Morricone (composing individual themes for each of the principal characters was a concept George Lucas borrowed for Star Wars). What's interesting to keep in mind about this film is that all of the lead actors were well past their handsome leading man good looks. So each time Leone went in for one of his trademart extreme closeups, you could really see all the character that had been formed in those well aged faces. Kim really nailed that in this incredible portrait. Again, just a great piece.

A great likeness from one of my favorite Westerns. DeMulder perfectly rendered the craggy nobility of Bronson's face. I just love this piece.
