DescriptionClassic Sienkiewicz goodness and one of my favorite MK images! Never asked Bill what this was made for or why the hell it wasn't published back in the day.Art is 14.5x20.5" on board. The piece was published in 2018 as part of IDW/Scott Dunbier's "Mutants and Moon Knights… and Assassins…" Artifact Edition on page 89 (image included here). Part of the Ghanbari Family collection with my brother Ray. Social/Sharing |

That this wasn't used is mind-boggling. I'm sure many interesting conversations were had amongst the brothers as to the exact nature of the animal in the bottom center.

While I'm usually not a fan of split covers, the sheer brilliance of utilizing MK's cape as a secondary canvas is impossible to deny. One of the most mesmerizing Sienkiewicz MK images I have ever seen, published or not. Really can't take my eye off this. Wow!

Why it wasn't published as a cover, is easy. Think logo placement. Fabulous artwork.

I'm in absolute awe of this piece, and just as astonished how this one did not end being published! But regardless, a stellar Sienkiewicz Moon Knight piece AND from the mid-80s too is just mind blowing! Congrats!!

This is amazing, just amazing. Bill S. Is so talented, one of the real giants in this field. Honestly I think he deserves the Angloueme award for his body of work.
