Description

This is the May. Day 18. Thirty-One days of Star Wars continues...

Zodoh the Hutt’s Stormdriver ships have unleashed a global flood on Aquilaris Minor. Large areas of the planet are flooded within hours. In this issue’s opening four page sequence (which I’ll be posting in order Mon-Thurs this week), Jedi Knight Kerra Holt leads a desperate evacuation effort. Using her abilities in the Force and her Fire Lotus-class starfighter Kerra transports several civilians to higher ground.

These are the original blue pencils (not digital blue lines) by Iban Coello. I believe there are corresponding boards out there for inker Sergio Abad.

The selflessness of the Jedi rings true, yet again.  Remarkable.

Moving rocks, moving people...same idea! Nice endcap to the 4 page sequence. You made me such a fan of these Coello pages from Knight Errant that I picked up a few myself recently - including the very next page in this issue (page 5), picking up where you left off! :)

Nice! Like a lot of art the scans really don't do the pages justice. Especially trying to get a good scan on blue pencils, as they are designed to fade out in the first place.

Sigh...I guess the first panel shows what can happen when we let our little children take the wheel! Gorgeous pencils, as usual.

Remember what Smokey the Bear tells us - "only you can prevent underwater driving fires." Or something like that.

When you're fully
Pencils all
When fears are in Jedis
I'll dry Zodoh
I'm on light side
Oh, No lines get rough
Abad just can't be found

Light side force over troubled water
Iban lay me down
Like a blue pencil troubled waters
Holt won't let me drown

If just a few more people had the flu this rescue would go a lot smoother.

Now that is the super power I need to move my kids around. "Oh you don't want to listen do ya? Well then out of the water it is. We are going home."

Parental Force powers would be totally useful. Or for Chihuahua owners when the little scamps take off down the street.
