Description
Goin' with some DC posts this week, starting out with this great big image of Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) as she swings onto the scene of a man on a berserker rampage on the streets of Gotham, courtesy of a new drug called Soul.

I've always liked Cassandra's Batgirl costume, and this image also appealed to me because of how her feet and pointy/flowy cape break panel. I also think it's cool how she's upside down.

Batgirl certainly knows how to make a dramatic entrance!

Great splash man!  Love the cape flow particularly.  This Batgirl series was the first DC book I read and collected every month and Cassandra's costume and the subsequently aritsts' doing what they did with it issue to issue was a big reason why.  Congrats!

In the words of someone a lot smarter than me.
"oh, there goes gravity and mom's spaghetti???"

On second thoughts. Great pickup Paul.

You think it's cool how she's upside down? I mean, she IS a "Bat" girl after all. It really is quite dynamic and as you mention, I love the cape going off panel and how Leonardi left it open ended, as if the cape would go on forever!

I got a bad disease
Ink Delperdang is what I need
Leonardi it seems
Has got me by my Soul to squeeze
It's just enough for me
When Batgirl swings into the scene
Cassandra in my dream, yeah
Has turned on Gotham it seems, DC

Where I go, I just don't know
I got to, got to, gotta make a show
When I find my piece in kind
Rick's gonna draw you some of the good lines

OMG! What a fabulous title splash! Surprising entrance by Batgirl, upside down, swinging into the scene! Beautiful drawing by Rick Leonardi really puts the emphasis on Batgirl's athleticisim. Gorgeous inks by Jesse Delperdang as well!  Great pick-up!

It should be no surprise that an artist famous for drawing Dagger (of Marvel's Cloak and Dagger) would draw such a graceful Batgirl.

Wonderful cover, finally we see a variant from the "Action Comics" 1 (1938) cover from above with a great heroine in the classic Spiderman pose from a classic 90s Spiderman ("2099", etc..) and X-men artist :)
