Superb is the perfect word choice! Jim is one of my all time favs and this cover is a perfect example of why. 

The one word that comes to mind when I look at this cover is...Exceptional. But "Astonishing" works pretty well nonetheless! incredible Cheung cover, congrats Bill!

A very strong composition, and as you write - they certainly look ready for action. With the wings forming the backdrop, the arrangement reminds me a little of war monuments or fountains with sculptures of the gods. Very appropriate, either way. Nice variations in textures throughout the piece.

What a dynamic layout by a modern master! Jim Cheung is absolutely great and this cover shows why that is.  Strong compositions mixed with beautiful figure work make this a wonderful cover. Congratulations!

As you say, Bill, every single character is shown primed and ready for action! The sand blowing up from the ground is so nice. I love the wispy, thin lines he used to create that effect. Leave it to you to nail down not just a Cheung cover from the title, but the 1st issue cover! Congrats, Bill!

This cover makes me feel like the first time I ever laid eyes on Jim Cheung artwork.

 Each character is wonderfully detailed from Bishop's gun to Logan out front. The inking is terrific.  All this combines to be an impressive group and a wonderful cover.  Huge congrats Bill.

Love when Cheung goes dynamic with his layouts/designs, and this has that energy, even though it's essentially just a bunch of heroes posing on a cover.  And the symmetry of poses on both sides is a fun little tidbit.  Congrats!

Astonishing!  Jim Cheung never fails to utterly -delight- and you have a total winner here, Bill!  A compelling lineup of characters, and the full backgrounds (in the "V" shape to blossom out and underscore the movement of our heroes) perfectly support this one.  The luscious inks take this one over the top - rich and fine - with insane details on those backgrounds and _especially_ Old Man Logan...  Another FANTASTIC piece in your world class gallery, Bill!  Huge congrats!
