Cockrum didn't design this costume, but he could still make the out of date 60's look seem cool to fool young boys who got brainwashed to wear school uniforms themselves. Best leader of the X-men of course. So many memorable storylines when he was the leader. Death of Professor X. Death of Thunderbird. Death of Jean Grey. For a while, every forty issues or so...
