It's grand presentation of the movie version of Doctor Strange and his powers! Those scars and dead eyes show the effect of corruption from the Darkhold. This image holds up better and is as fantastical as what any movie special effect can accomplish.
Agreed. You can see him as the corruption of the dark. Energy changes him to the dark master of the mystic arts.
Stunning Doctor Strange commission from Rudy Ao! Love the color palette Rudy used--the bright reds and yellows seem to sparkle almost like magical spells brought to life. The face of Strange is a little spooky, the whites of his eyes seem to see right past us and the circular discs that represent his mystical spells glow with power. Fantastic painting and terrific commission! Congrats!
