With conventions picking back up, I got to see Terry and Robyn in person at C2E2 this year for their first visit back to Chicago in years. As usual, I flipped through the art they brought to see what was new, especially when it comes to the old Strangers in Paradise pages. I already have a page that features Katchoo, Casey, and David; but the one thing I was looking for (like every other SiP collector) was a nice Katchoo and Francine page.

This is one of the few text-heavy pages from the series- there's only one panel of art, with text pasted on. Still, the dialogue here is on-point for the series, as Katchoo talks with Francine about her "relationship" with David. The one panel perfectly captures the tone and mood of the conversation between two best friends (Katchoo is exasperated while Francine is confusedly listening), and it also has the more cartoonish style that I love from earlier in the series. I know there are better pages out there with Katchoo and Francine, but this one does a great job of showing the two of them in a more emotionally-driven scene (and David's there in spirit, to complete the triangle), so I'm happy to add this to the collection.
