Published November 2004. One of my favorite covers from Spider-Girl. I'm a late bloomer in finishing Tom DeFalco's run but always known Mayday as being a cult favorite amongst comic fans and was pleasantly surprised it was THAT good. It was amazing to read how many times the series was cancelled then brought back in one form or another. After reading her first appearance in What If #105, I was really intrigued with her character and into Peter and MJ's relationship blossoming into a true marriage in the MC2 alternate universe. It actually felt refreshing to read and progressed their journey forward in comics which you really don't see much in continuity nowadays. While DeFalco rehashed some nostalgic moments like the Clone Saga and the epic rivalry between Hobgoblin and Green Gobin, it was done in a tasteful and unique way that paid homage to those stories. Would've been nice if they reprinted the entire series in the Marvel Omnibus format. IMHO, in comparison to Jessica Drew as Spider-Woman and Spider-Gwen, Mayday is just so much of a better character. Wish they utilized her more in the Spider-Verse crossover by Dan Slott. The final production cover had flipped the art horizontally.
